My bride and I attended the North South Skirmish Association's annual Spring Shoot in Virginia last weekend.
We kept the cameras rolling practically ALL weekend trying to catch all the fun going on!
I didn't pull the trigger on a gun at all last weekend & LOVED every minute of this event!
Enjoy:

Nice video but you had me worried for a moment. Your post mentioned you and your bride but the thumbnail shows someone..............how do it put it in a PC way.....................not your bride.

Read it again. The OP was BP Maniac. He directed the first comment at me. In the video thumb it's BP Maniac and Eddie Davenport of the N-SSA.

Someone else said the same comment over on FB.
You will never see Mrs. BPMS on these videos.
Guess the viewer needs to watch it to know the difference.
Thanks for watching...

All around a great weekend was had and a distinct pleasure to meet you in person!
Likewise Dave...nice meeting you too.....and thanks for the hospitality and being a part of the fun.
My bride and I had a fantastic weekend as first timers there. There was too much going on to catch everything that was going on with the cameras.
We will be back again someday.

Someday I may get to go there. If only they used Flintlocks… 🤔
Amen on the flintlocks. This definitely was a change of pace for us since I mostly focus on flint shooting.
However, I REALLY enjoyed watching all these shooters use their cap guns last weekend.
It was quite impressive.

Some flintlock muskets are allowed but they must be approved by the Small Arms Committee on an individual basis. They can be used in individual matches and I suppose in team matches too but the N-SSA requires the use of a frizzen stall while loading so one would be at a big disadvantage there. I got approval for my Pedersoli Bess but have never fired it in a match. There are a lot of round ball shooters in the N-SSA but I don't believe there is enough interest to justify having flint only competitions.
