Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Can you clarify? No mling shotguns and rifles or just mling rifles?
Lots of places say no rifles, period, for safety reasons. They include mling rifles just to keep it simple I guess.
Beats me...but I know we can't use any kind of rifle, only shotguns (regular & ML)...always assumed it was either to make the sport more challenging and/or to make it safer since hunter orange is not required.

BUT...in[/url] spite of that...it seems that every year we have some turkey hunter shooting another turkey hunter...can't for the life of me figure out how a camo'd hunter remotely resembles a wild turkey
Safety....you can't use any kind of rifle, as Roundball says...any kind of rifle bullet, ball or cartridge, is going to carry a whole lot further than a load of birdshot, or an arrow. This is why the crowded states like NJ have shotgun only deer seasons. I can use my percussion SxS for turkey, if I want to use a muzzleloader...Hank
