So, while I'm home on leave for a couple weeks and thought I'd finish some projects. This is a horn my dad wanted me to do. He wanted a plain horn, kind of simple. But I had to put just a little engraving on it. The body is scraped so it doesn't have that smooth factory finish. Base plug is pine as is the stopper (hand carved to go with theh simple theme). No artificial color, regular use will take care of that.

Next to finish, the barrel and a patch box on my Dickert style flinter.

Nice!
how goes the sandbox detail?

I greatly appreciate your sacrifice to our country!

Let me know if there is anything I can do to get you going on card weaving!

Thanks to all. It's not very fancy, but I do like it.

Brett Sr, everything's going well. Half way to coming home for good. When I get card weaving, I'll definately be asking questions.

Wow! I too like the simplicity. I am thinking about trying some scrimshaw. I am not very proficient at crafts but will try. Nice job!! Got me thinking about it again.

Great looking horn bro! Love the mellow tones. Glad you could have a little time at home, appreciate your committment and dedication, watch your topknot and keep one eye on your back trail. BE SAFE as possible
