I am new to forum. I am a life long gun guy. I have a couple flintlocks passed down from my father who loved black powder. I have a JJ Henry and sons flint lock that my father got back in the 50 s. It has seen better days. It looks like someone used it for a club and broke it in half at the lock. Wondering if I should try to repair or restock? I am a pretty good wood worker. But have not done a flintlock before.

Welcome from Colorado. Is the J . J. Henry a copy or original. I'd do a lot more research before restoring an original.
