I am new to forum. I am a life long gun guy. I have a couple flintlocks passed down from my father who loved black powder. I have a JJ Henry and sons flint lock that my father got back in the 50 s. It has seen better days. It looks like someone used it for a club and broke it in half at the lock. Wondering if I should try to repair or restock? I am a pretty good wood worker. But have not done a flintlock before.

Well I'd suggest that you take some photos of the damaged area, as well as the whole gun, and post that in the Gun Builder section, and the guys that frequent there can take a look, and maybe give you a good course-of-action.
