new powder horn for old friend

After much procrastination, start - & - stop, and a boatload of i'll-get-to-it-later, here it is! My second horn with scrim, my first with poly chromatic work (don't know if this is HC/PC- probably not).

The plug is a bad attempt at bookmatched maple (the figure doesn't show nearly as well as i had hoped). The insert is bloodwood, which isn't at all HC/PC, but i think it looked cool, so i threw it in.

Stopper will be a fiddle peg when i can scrounge one from the local violin maker.

Looks like a keeper to me. Nothing wrong with letting your creativity take you in new directions, especially if you aren't setting out to do museum reproductions.
That horn will serve your friend well.
