Hi Folks,
I haven't shared this on this forum yet. Attached are photos of the shop I built at my new home in Braintree, Vermont. It is the culmination of a dream. I also included a couple of photos of my latest project which will go to a dear friend in Alaska. Finally, I added a photo of the view from my shop last fall.

Very nice shop you have there, but your dog says its too cold and can we move to Florida? .

Nice shop.

From the looks of that fine rifle and lack of woodstove you are a confident builder.

Mine's not so nice, but I got plenty of dry kindling to start another project in a warm shop.

Curious, what's the small oven for?

Hi,
The oven is for baking scones. Actually, it is a burn-out oven with a programmable controller that I use for metal casting and heat treating gun parts. I can color-caseharden parts using it as well.

You have a shop buddy.....that's THE most important thing there!
Nice work on the shop and rifle! Many nice things and memories will come from your shop!

But you can keep that snow :shake:

Nice shop  The dog looks like he wants to go out to take a dump, but decided it's just too cold! :haha:

Very nice shop! Looks like plenty of work space. Beautiful windows to give natural light and view.I could live in there.

Probably a neighbor with a cotton jin, I was wondering the same thing, what is that white stuff on top.
Very nice shop, every time I think of building one, a Kid needs something like a car or a wedding so I keep putting it off.

I don't think I could work there. I would be afraid of making a mess. It certainly seems you have no problems working there (perhaps you also know how to use a broom) . Your friend should be very proud having a rifle like that, very well done.

" It is the culmination of a dream"

You can tell a lot about a guy by his dreams. Some fella's want a Harley, or a high maintanence trophy wife or a bigassed boat. I think you will get more hours of satisfaction from your new shop. Good for you

Very fine, for sure. :hatsoff:
Something about a shop that clean that seems just wrong to me, though. :shake:
Note, you have a lathe. That means you are one of the good guys.
Did you build the workbench? I like it almost as much as the rifle.
Congrats, despite the snow, I'm sure you will enjoy it for a long time.

Dave; is that pad on the floor a horse stall pad???
I was thinking about one to stand on to ease back pain..
Great shop..
spring well
