Its working good so far , knock on woodMine has a leather belt on it, you may need to find proper length and width heavy belt leather to re-place it.

Oh yeah !! Every time !/Forge gone , guns gone , money gone then shes gone ......every time !! Funny though ...once she leaves ....its like playing a country sound backwards ! Money comes back , guns come back , get a new forge , he// even the dog comes back !! LOL !!Beware the honey trap
might want to condition the belt with a good leather dressing, or if you can find it the old fan belt dressing. Its working good so far , knock on wood
Rob, y'all sure are making me miss my old Lancaster No. 40. I used it with a Tim Lively washtub charcoal forge, charcoal being much simpler than coal/coke for the clueless idiot to manage ...
Thanks for your suggestions bud . Ive been Intrigued by all this since I was a child in the 70s , just love it . Glad you are enjoying my rabblings and my work . Hopefully have some forged gun.parts soon .Take care ....Not sure where you live but you've mentioned the Amish in the past. They might be your best bet for finding a good leather dressing for that belt. With all the harnesses they use, they'll know where to get the best product that's still available.
That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.

I know ! Its so awesome ! There's always a little coal.left ,I leave the crucible right by there ....just start the fire , and put the pot in there ...easy peezyHa! I use my forge more for melting lead than actual blacksmith work!
I started bladesmithing about the time forged in fire started (didn’t know it existed for three years). I had to build my first three forges because everyone was buying them up for stupid prices.Funny you'd mention that ....since Forged in Fire and the like these forged have gone to stupid prices .... I was finally to the point where I was gonna build a forge just like you said , I've been looking for awhile now ....then this just popped up ! AND it was $150 !! Swing !!!
Exactly .... The anvils were never cheap but Lordy ! After forged in fire aired anything associated with forging went to stupid prices and broken stuff . Sure glad I got this little forge , will be perfect for me. Sure sounds good ! Can't wait to use her ! I think I saw two or three of the Forged in Fire shows at dads house. They were ok . I ain't had TV in many years .I started bladesmithing about the time forged in fire started (didn’t know it existed for three years). I have since watched a few seasons. They are entertainment only and not to be taken very seriously. If they included things like the tempering process, it would be hours long and boring to the "home audience".Exactly .... The anvils were never cheap but Lordy !
