Hey all..
Thought you might be interested in a couple pics from the New Ulm Light Battery shoot this summer.
These pics are of a ww2 french cannon with the breach sealed and made to replicate an older revoloutionary type (if i remember correctly).. Not sure who the guys were but maybe some of you who get arround might recognize them.
Quite the shooter they were 163 yards out and shot 2 shots into each bull. Some looke like misses.. But upon close inspection of targets, there were 10 hits, 2 in each. Some so close you can barely tell.. Amazing acuracy.
This of course is a rifled barrel not like the originals that were smooth. And actually a couple of them competed rather well too.
Was a great weekend... Lots of Musket shoots etc. Along with these cannons and a mortar competion.
Was a first for me and had a great time!
Highly recomend checking them out.
