I gave up on finding any of the original good quality Winchester Lubaloy copper plated #6s to tighten up my turkey patten some more...and learned that nickel plated shot is supposed to be even better than copper plated in terms of pattern density and penetration.
And since a special shot cup is not required to protect my .20ga flinter's bore, I ordered a bag of nickel plated #6s from Ballistics Products...will pattern test it place of the regular magnum lead 6's I've been using.
I hope the hype is true about the amazing improvements in pattern density at distance...if it is, I might even be able to shave off an 1/8oz or so from the shot charge and pick up some velocity.
