What would be a good nipple for a Renegade? From the information I've gathered on this site 1/4X28 is the correct size. Are the Ampco bronze any good or should I go with steel. You have to forgive all the newbie questions, but I have one more, what supplier would be best to work with on nipples and caps?

AMPCO nipples have a good reputation. I seem to remember that they do not fit a standard nipple wrench. I use Uncle Mikes hot nipples. You could most likely contact Thompson Center and still get the orginals.

My favorite are the Spitfire.Cains should have them. There in the links here. Dilly

T/C factory nipples are actually a little shorter than some 1/4-28 aftermarket nipples. This causes the rear edge of the longer aftermarket nipples to become flared. I prefer the T/C factory nipple.

Knight Rifles has one called Red Hot nipple. I have tried lots of different brands/styles on my TC Big Boar and the Knight ones are the best I have ever used. I'm sure they don't actually make it but I don't know who does or if the same nipple is available under a different name.

I have hot shot nipples on all my TC Hawken rifles. Have never had any problems with them either.
