This gun is a twin to my Traditions Kentucky .50 caliber. Both guns fit me well. They come easily to my shoulder and the sights line up perfectly to my eyes when I put my cheek on the stock. The balance of these guns feels good to me. I don’t think they’re front heavy at all.

I haven’t shot the Jukar .45 caliber and can’t speak on that, but I have shot the Traditions Kentucky several hundred rounds. I have other guns that cost a lot more and have much better fit and finish than the Traditions, but none that shoot better.

Hope to get to the range this week. If this guns shoots as good as I think it should, my plan is to make it a squirrel rifle.
Banjoman, I once had a custom Hawken style rifle in .45 cal similar in looks to your Jukar that I used for squirrel hunting. I used a .44 rb with 18 gr 3F by volume. Great squirrel-range accuracy and a very anemic sounding report. Made a nice, neat hole without blowing the squirrel in half due to low velocity. Got the job done. Enjoy your Jukar, they are fun guns.

We had less than 3 inches of snow here today and it was rainy, windy and humid so I took the new to me Jukar .45 caliber percussion rifle out to see how it shoots.

The constants for today were:

Pyrodex P (3f)
.440 lead round balls
All shots taken from bench rest using sand bags
CCI #11 caps
Wind, rain and humidity. Wind kept blowing the targets away causing this old fat man to walk down range more than he wanted to😩

The variables:

Two different types of patch material, one thick and one thin. Thick worked better.
Powder loads of 30, 35, 40 and 45 grains.
Different wads when not using patches.

So how’d we do?

Surprisingly, the most consistently accurate load was 30 grains of 3f, bare round ball and topped off with a spit moistened paper towel wad. Windage was good, just need a little work on elevation. I had some other targets but they got wet and I lost track of what loads went with what targets. No matter, we wuz mostly just plinking today.

So what’d we learn.

This gun will shoot, just need to shoot a lot more. That ain’t no problem.

I like the way it looks and handles.

It probably ain’t fer sale unless someone offers me $1500.00 fer it.😁

I have two or three Jukars. They shoot as well as my T/C and CVA guns. The most I ever paid was $200.
One of my pet peeves is some d.a. calling them Junkers. There's no damn N in Jukar.

Got the Jukar out for some more shooting this morning.

I forgot my sand bags so all shooting was done from a bench using hands and elbows for support.

I had more targets showing results of different loads, but in the interest of brevity, I’ll only show a few.

So what’d we learn?

First, this gun will shoot. Just need to adjust the nut behind the stock.

Secondly, an increase in the charge brought the point of impact closer to the point of aim. No surprise there.

The group opened up a little at 40 yards but that’s more on the shooter than the gun.

I had intended to use light charges and make this a squirrel gun but I think it will make a better deer gun.

Also saw this guy on the way in about a half mile from the range. The quick phone pictures don’t do him justice. He weren’t no little bar!

Took the Jukar out again today. Man, I like .45 caliber in a rifle! I had filed the front sight down to raise the point of impact. It’s good now. With 50 grains of 3f I was consistently hitting a pop can at 30 yards. Can’t wait to take it back out and try it at 50 yards.

Did I mention that I really like .45 caliber?

I don't know why people even waste their time on 200 dollar Jukar Junker rifles.

They're good for boat oars and nothing more.

Accuracy at even 25 yards is unobtanium.
