$ of flints going up

Howdy,
Thanks Stumpkiller and Roundball for the info. about the Mizzy Wheels. I'm going to check into getting some of the wheels. Then I'll check into the bulk flints. Like was stated; "You can never have enough flints or lead". Has anyone compared the bulk prices between track of the Wolf and Vernon Davis from Ohio. Vernon has good prices on most of his stuff.

I haven't...I've participated in a couple special bulk buys through another site using October Country, and got 3/4" black english flints for $.69/ea

I haven't either. Vernon is one of those men who, though we have never met, I would trust my life to just from a few conversations. I needed a Christians Spring lock a while back, when Jim Chambers was 600 backlogged, and Vernon used up a favor and presented me to Tip Curtis, who had exactly what I needed (in a secret stash guarded by posionous snakes and a tribe of trained posion dart frogs).

Sadly (or maybe happily), Vernon is planning on selling out and retiring, so his prices may be best ever at the moment.

I got to know Vernon at a rendezvous my group used to run @ Fort Frederick, MD. He is a straight shooter and good guy. I don't know if he is still trying to sell out or not, but he is not offering building services any longer according to his web site cover page. I had to go to Google and look up Vernon C. Davis to find his web-site cover page. I could not get past this page to check his prices. I have his phone number at home and may try him there.
