I've had this old frankin gun since back in the 90's the stock and lock are 1800's French I believe. It has a .577 bore that is 1 1/4" across the flats and has nice bore byt the breech plug and hammer are down right ugly. The hammer has been cut and rewelded to reach the nipple so I am finally going to work the breech plug down and set the barrel back to where it should be and recut the hammer to match the new location of the nipple. Hopefully it all goes good. I have shot it with round balls and after I did some bedding on the stock it started to group better but now I want it to look a little better.
