My knowledge is not the best with this type of rifle. The man on the left called the plugged hole in the bolster a "blow out hole". (time 1:52). I think the gunsmith drilled a right angle path in the bolster to direct the flash to the barrel. Then plugged the hole for eternity. Any thoughts on that would be appreciated.
This rifle by far, is a good example of pristine workmanship.
