Looking for some information on what thread pitch is used on the Parker Hale Enfield ramrods because if I cannot find a genuine Parker Hale sergeants tool, I might get an Italian reproduction and drill and tap threads so it works out.

Because I’m such a nice guy I got up from bed and checked the ramrods of my four PHs (two 1853s an 1858 and an 1861) as well as an original 1853. All appear to be 27 TPI. I say “appear” to be because my eyesight is a bit tired and blurry this time of night and the threads on one of the PH 1853s as well as the original are a bit bunged up. Good luck!

Sorry for having you to wake up to check the the threads. When you do have the time (and more awake) please may you get me a more accurate measurement if you have the tools to do so. Thank you very much.

I didn’t say that I had to wake up and it was only a short walk from bedroom to shop to get the thread gauge from my tap and die set - no bother at all - always glad to help another enthusiast. But yes, I am now back in bed so I would have to check in the morning. By then others may have a more definitive answer for you but I’ll look into it then.
