I think all (most) you PC guys have your heads screwed on a little tight. You use most of the new stuff the world spits out and find some way to justify it but when it comes to inlines...........

I would offer two comments regarding your statement.

1. You don't know me well enough to make that judgment.

2. You're entitled to your opinion, even if you're mistaken.

I said most. What you say in your posts shows what category you are in.

Dude, you picked the wrong person to mess with. :haha: Look at the title under Claude's name. :nono: :shake:

Do I sense a "retreat" be'n made here, or, doesn't "all" mean anythin??

I'll bet you meant "right" instead of "a little tight" too,.... din't you??  :peace: ::

Look at the title under Claude's name.

Darned right!

And I happen to know for a fact that Claude's head is not screwed on too tight. In fact, the loose screws ain't all on his firelock. :youcrazy:

I can tell you that my home PC gets a lot more use after I stumbled on this forum than it ever did before. ::

Lord, forgive Stumpkiller...he knows not what he has done.

Yep, my PC gets a lot more use to...and my wife gets less use! :haha:

So there I was, computer geek that I am, reading this thread, doing some geneology research, trying to come up with an appropriate persona for a memorial day event, maintaining a mailing list, and writing lesson plans for tomorrow's classes when the power goes out. No big deal, I have candles, lanterns, and other things to do.

Went down to the shop, and by the light of a candle in a lantern worked on a couple of possibles bags and put another coat of beeswax on my rifle.

Power came back on and I finished up what I was doing with the bags, put the tools up and came back to the computer.

What surprised me, and made me laugh was the ease with which I went from multi-tasking on the PC (personal computer) to sitting in the basement making PC (period correct) possibles bags with mostly PC tools by the light of a candle.

Oh, and another thing... While looking up some info for a PC (period) persona on my PC (computer)I happenned upon a geneology website, and found a 2nd cousin I didn't know I had.

Back to the lesson plans... darned things don't write themselves ya know.

It's simple.
The two "endeavors" have absolutely nothing to do with each other. :peace:

Perfect answer Claude! We don't carry our PC when we're trying to be PC and if we do as Tipis did we keep them out of sight!

Any other Mac users here? Macintosh is all I ever had. It's about as unique as a flintlock at the shooting range. :peace:

..."heads screwed on a little tight"....RIGHT! Most of us are not loose nuts.

As far as justifying inlines.....RIGHT ON THAT ONE TOO!...there really isn't much justification for them!

Thanks for your input. :peace:

I've been using Macs since they came out in 1984.

I've been the President of the San Diego Macintosh User Group for about 12 years, I've worked for Apple and still do consulting work for individuals and businesses.

My reenacting is PC, but my computers aren't.

If any of you guys are members of the Phila Infragard Chapter and are going to tomorrows meeting, look me up. I am teaching a computer forensic course. I'll make it as PC as I can!

Not at all. I'm secure enough to separate these discussions from my "authority". :peace:

And I don't doubt that a bit. You're a level-headed guy. I was just pointing out that IF you weren't...not a good move.

Laptops are ok for people of the female persuasion, you young fellas need to be a little careful with laptops,or so I am told.

So now you can't say anything that might piss off the Administrator. This is why I don't post here often. People who think you shouldn't touch an inline but the turn up the AC in a new car and slide a CD in the player on the way to a "traditional" shoot. Have a great day!

With all due respect I believe you are misinterpreting much of what was posted above.

If you'll re-read the above posts, you'll see that I have no problem with people disagreeing with me (or "pissing me off"). It's all part of a healthy debate. I would never use my authority to stifle or silence a Member because we disagreed. In fact, I encourage debates so we may all learn from the exchange. But personal attacks, aimed at any member, will result in having an account deleted.

However, if you find the atmosphere on this Forum too restrictive, that's your prerogative. I would never suggest that we are perfect or that this Forum is for everyone. That's a decision you'll have to make for yourself.
