Pedersoli Bess Mainspring Needed

Have a friend that emailed me looking for another main spring for his bess. Anyone know in the states were he can order one?

Tracks spring might or might not fit an older Ped bess. The location of the mounting studs are often different on different years of production. Sometimes the differnce is just enough to prevent the spring from fitting. Other times, the difference is enough to require drilling a new hole for the stud.

i agree, i have had a simular experience with dixie, they offer a mainspring for a ped' india pattern and the boss for the screw matches up but the end of the spring was too long and interfeared with the tumbler, they said it was a drop in, i guess it could be due to the age of the piece aswell

Mike Lea makes parts for Bess's. He has found that there are three or four slightly different frizzens and main springs in use in the reproductions.
