While cleaning, I ran across this, and do not know if this is an issue or it is supposed to be this way.
The adjustment screw is between the triggers - normal
There is a threaded hole just behind the rear trigger, appears to be an empty hole.
What belongs in this hole? Did I loose a screw?
Just behind the empty screw hole is another screw. It is protruding several threads out of the plate. Is it rattling out? Is it an adjustment? Is this something to be concerned about?
Just behind that screw is the end of the tang bolt coming down from the tang - Normal.
I don't have any other Pedersoli guns to compare it to.
The only parts breakout I can find is on VTI, and it is a very poor drawing.
So before I tear this down and take it apart to see how it works, I thought I would ask.
Trigger seems to function normally.

It could be a mainspring stop screw hole. It allows you to put some slack in the spring tension by raising the spring a little. This lets you cock the rifle without setting the triggers. Some set trigger have so much mainspring pressure that they hold the sear bar up. The usual holes are for the mounting/tang screws, adjustment screw, and mainspring screw.

First off, I do believe that the unwritten rules of the forum require that you have at least one "loose screw" to participate; that being said I will tell you what I see on my Frontier (.36). The hole behind the set trigger on my gun has a screw end visible (no slot) in it. The next hole has a screw with slot (no head) proud about two threads as you describe. The back hole has a screw end visible, however, it is not a tang screw; my .36 has only one tang screw and it is in front of the main trigger.
I don;t have time to do a take down today. If you don't get better responses I could possibly pull her apart tomorrow or the next day and tell you what I see.

First, I greatly appreciate your response. I can't see down the threaded hole, so it may very well be a screw coming in from the other direction. I posed the question thinking maybe someone had a ready answer. If not, it's no issue. I am more than able to tear down any gun ever made and get it back together (and still have it function). I was just being lazy..
So far, the new gun has performed most admirably. I am very happy with the gun and really enjoyed the first 40 rounds. More will be coming this following week, with the climax of the "getting to know it" being venison in the cooler come this winter. In the meantime, I will be spending time at the range with friends enjoying retirement.
BTW, love the handle, there has to be a story behind that one..

Yes. it is normal.
The tang screw is in front of the first trigger.
There is a screw in there which touches trigger spring, but it has a small set screw on the side of the trigger plate that locks it.
Pretty sure it is in the manual- at least the one that came with the Deluxe Maple version years ago.
The only modification I did (had to really) to the triggers was to shorten the adjustment (between triggers) screw, and put a tiny spring on there to keep it from loosening.

Once you get the trigger let off the way you want it, put a small drop of lock tite or nail polish on the threads to keep the screw from working loose.

I didn't mean to imply that you lacked any ability in basic gunsmithing; I was just trying to be helpful. Now if you ever want to tear down a gun and put it back together so that it doesn't function let me know, I'd probably be able to help you with that....although maybe not if I was actually trying too. As to my handle, just a combination of former profession and name.
