pedersoli scout

I am thinking about getting a pedersoli scout in 50 cal . My hawken is to heavy . Any opinions would be appreciated .

I have one in flintlock. Very reliable and maneuverable in heavy brush or woods. Weight is around 6 pounds by bathroom scale. Fires each time I pull the trigger without fail.

All around descent muzzleloader.

I'm not familiar with the Pedersoli Scout other than looking at the pictures.
But I do like the light weight fifty bore rifles.
I've shot flint and percussion Traditions "Deerhunter" rifles and appreciate the way they handle and the way they shoot.

I had one of these for years; wish I still had it. Only got rid of it when I was building my collection of lefty flintlocks. It was light handy, and dependable. If they made one in left hand, I would buy one.

I recently built one from a kit; mostly minor wood shaping and metal polishing. It's the flintlock version, light and fun to shoot. I think you'll like it.

I had A .50 Super Cub for years - the same rifle but with a fancy patchbox - and took lots of deer with it. It's a very handy, lightweight and accurate little rifle. You'll be pleased.
