looking for a nipple wrench for size #11 caps that fits the Pedersoli 20GA side by side shotgun nipples.

I purchased a #11 wrench from midway though it does not fit the nipples(too small). I assume this is because the nipples are in metric.

The Pedersoli double shotguns I own take 1/4-28 threaded nipples, nothing metric about them, and most any rifle style percussion nipple wrench seem to fit. Are you sure you have #11 nipples and not musket cap nipples?

Just barely loose.
That would bother me, I like a rather snug fit.

As to the wrench, I've seen the Ted Cash ratcheting tool mentioned for Pedersoli on other threads with similar complaints, but if the fit is "almost" , I'd just take a couple file strokes on each side of the wrench opening until it is a "just big enough" fit.

May be my best bet.

For the caps I’ve learned to just take my finger nail and bend the cap inward a bit and that tightens them on the nipple good enough.

As long as the recoil from the first barrel doesn't uncap the second barrel that works.
A different brand of cap might fit better, perhaps farther down the cone, On my Pietta revolver I changed all the nipples to a brand that fit my caps better, because I couldn't find caps in my area that fit the Pietta cones and with every shot caps would fall off no mater how I pinched them.

I’ve tried CCI magnum and Remington.

They were falling off prior to bending them.

#11s fit on them. Just barely loose.
New or old nipples? If #11 caps are falling off, consider #10s. Personally, if using a gun for hunting I do not want loose caps or having to pinch them in an attempt to keep them in place.

If you go for new nipples, might want to consider TOW hardened 416 stainless steel ones as an option, as I have found they work well with CCI#11 and RWS 1075 caps. In the past I tried some Hotshot nipples on a Pedersoli double and the nipples looked like scrap metal after one round of skeet. The locks on these shotguns, at least the ones I have owned, were rough on nipples made out of soft stainless, as they have fairly stout mainsprings.

I’m unsure of the age of these nipples as it is a new addition for me.

Thank you for the input; I will take this into consideration if I choose to swap the nipples.

New addition with loose caps…. Nipples, consumable items, are a little over $5 each. Silly in my opinion not to replace and move on. Combine with any other items you need/want to spread out shipping costs. Wait until you really need and there is no guarantee of availability.

I had the nipples falling off scenario last time I took the "new to me" Pedersoli SXS to the woods, to cold to take the gloves off and could not pinch the caps with the gloves on, lost somewhere around six caps, unacceptable.

Still had to hold my fingers in front of the heat registers in the truck on the way home for awhile, getting old sucks.

I came home, removed the TOTW nipples and ground them down until the nipples fit properly and then dressed them up a bit. Work fine.

Later found some nipples from Ox Yoke called Knights Red Hot that #11's fit properly without alteration.

FYI
