#1- adjustability in the field is the biggest for me. I have my sight sighted in with my range finder. I can get the yardage and set my sight to that yardage. Much like the vernier tang sight from years gone by. I have done that on 4 deer so far. Range the deer set the sight, then make the shot.
#2- the adjustments are 1/4 “click adjustments” for fine tuning. Or a guy has the option for a push button quick adjustment.
#3- The ability to take the sight off and put it in my pocket to keep it from getting banged up. I think that putting them into cars, trucks, and ATV’s is harder on sights than hunting is. I take mine off and keep it in my pocket until I get to where I want to hunt.
#4- Lastly the sight is repeatable. I have my own yardages marked into the side of the scale. I have 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 painted on the scale. If I want to quickly go to 125 yards I have confidence that I can set the sight between 100 and 150 and it WILL be 125. I also know it will be that today, tomorrow, and next month.
I have shot these sights long enough to know I can trust them to be on when I need them to be. Ron
