I know this thread started in jest, but I would not depend on an antique, or reproductions of them, for anything serious. Nowhere near the reliability I require, and yes, I know, there will ALWAYS be that guy who says his BP revolver is 127% or more reliable. 😴😏💩👊👊👊

Also, if the worst should happen and you have to go to court, you are automatically going to look like some kind of nut.

I like antique cars, but I don't drive one to work on a daily basis, nor would I want my life to depend on one getting me to my destination.

This thread was started as a little joke but it has turned into a "self defense" post often talking about modern guns.
The person who started the thread has asked me to close it and that is exactly what I am going to do.

Let's get back to muzzleloading now.
