Thinking I got ripped! I paid $363.00 for blued stainless. May return if I can find a steel fare from Cabelas.

About the only way to blue stainless is with paint.

In other words, in my opinion, if it is actually blued, it isn't stainless.

Even the "cold blueing" available won't work on either austenitic or martensitic stainless steel. :hmm:

Ya, its blued STEEL that's what I meant! LOL. I see its in Phoenix now, may show up tomorrow if UPS gets its late stuff out today!

Got mine last year for that price around July 4 Holiday Sale. (Pietta). I was very impressed with the fit, finish and function on mine. I was a little skeptical about the Pietta though, the last one I bought (1860 Army)about 20 years ago, was just terrible to look at, kinda like those knives made in India they sell in the flea markets! It functioned just fine though! These last two I've bought have been excellent. I think they are right up there with Uberti now.
