Welcome to the forum, but always read the dates of the post.You might try drilling and tapping the sides of the breech tang where the hook goes threw and using set screws from each side . Tighten just enough to take out the slack and still be able to remove barrel . Maybe use some lock tight on the set screws when you have the slack taken up and still can remove the barrel from the tang . This method along with the bedding should make a rock solid breech . Just one option to consider.
