I'm looking to purchase Pedersoli 3 band Enfield rifle soon and I want to make authentic cartridges for it. The British used a smooth sided minie bullet called the Pritchett ball which was undersized as to allow it to slide easily down the bore when wrapped in the remainder of the cartridge paper. Does anyone know how underside a Pritchett ball for a .577 caliber enfield is?
