with me it is not about how it looks sir. i have been hit with a bolster and nipple blowing off someones gun. they really hurt! i just would not trust it enough to bother proofing. just my 2 cents

I have a custom built by Don Krammer. In the patch box was a note stating the rifle was proofed with 200 gr of powder and two round balls. Good luck
