I agree with the general consensus that screw in barrels or screw on barrels is the best solution. I don't know that the frame needs to be two pieces as in that one though. Nice pistol! I really like the cast inlay and butt plate!
 
im very sorry Sean, i originly had seen this but didnt think about it until i reread the post. that would be good idea but im starting from from thick walled .25" round tubing, i would have to add material somehow or lay in some ribs like a sxs doublegun. however im not that great on soldering,and would even attempt it. the fact that major gun companies and gunsmiths around the world use this as a common practice still, is so cool, but i would have someone else do this for me.

There is no "frame." Just two barrels with the breech sections left flat on three sides and soldered together.
