Quick loaders

Not only are the T/C loaders convenient, they work well when your hands are frozen.
Fumbling around my hunting bag for separate components in cold and snow conditions with frozen fingers is not a pretty sight. :haha:

New guy here from West Virginia. I have used the T/C speed loaders before and they worked great. I have got to the point that I just carry a .50 cal. Hawken pistol as back up so if I need a second shot I just pull it out. I do use the loading block with patched round balls.

Wow! Thanks for all the interesting responses! The reason I am looking at buying or making some "speed loaders" is not for a speedy second shot...but so I don't have to carry so much stuff when I am doing a stalk on a deer I want. It is easier to move around when all you have is your muzzleloader and a couple pocket loaders. I also carry an "OH manure" pouch that contains a few small tools if I were to have problems with the muzzleloader in the field.

Wish I could find the earlier posts here and perhaps someone can for you concerning this topic.

Pretty neat idea there rabbit...I assume the patch that holds the ball in the .20ga hull also makes a snug fit inside the .12ga hull to keep the powder dry, and is the patch you use for the ball when loading?
