When I became interested in muzzleloaders, my father in law gave me this box to use.
The story behind it. In a small town near us, there was a school for surveying. The professor carried his equipment in it. He then tells me how old it is. It's at least 160 years old.

That's a great box! This is a good example of why I prefer old handmade goods. They were built prior to "planned obsolescence", meant to last. I doubt plastic tackle boxes will last a century, much less two centuries. Tools, kitchen ware, furniture, etc. I find and use the old stuff. Buy once and never have to buy again.
