Ya know, if you could get enough powder in that thing to get yer velocity up to about 4000 fps, youde be gettin about the same kinetic energy as shootin a lead ball at reglar speed.......... :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
And they probably STILL wouldn't have any recoil
:rotf:

Be very careful when shooting ball bearings. Those things can riccochet and come back at you with almost as much velocity as they started with. Not only very dangerous to you but everyone else as well from that stand-point. Food for thought. :hmm:
You wouldn't want to shoot steel balls into a steel target anyway as I assume there might be some damage to the target depending on how thick it was...just shoot paper or tin cans in front of a dirt berm and there's no issue.

Hey Roundball,

This marble thing is a great idea for plinkin'. I don't know anything about them, but it sounds interesting. Have you come accross any that would be suitable for a .75 cal. Brown Bess? .690"-725" range might work. Those big lead punkin' size balls are expensive.
Google up "glass marbles" and check...many companies with many different sizes...
