Never had any problems with brass either but I do like Phil's steel jag.
any places for sale around your life style? i have tried to adopt that life but my neighbors have elected me the major go to for help! But then I’d have to make them, that would be work and that goes against my life style!
Hurray! Sometimes it works out that way. Brass work hardens. Might of got too hard/brittle and snapped. Glad you got it figured out!there is an interesting twist on this problem! (Grin)
last night, I put a drop of penetrating oil on the snapped off jag part. This afternoon, came down and looked at it, took a #11 knife blade and tried to move the jag. To my surprise, it easily moved, and came right out.
hurray for my 30 some year old penetrating oil
Now that is a problem with brass. Depending on how often and how hard you use a brass jag or brass tool it will work harden.Hurray! Sometimes it works out that way. Brass work hardens. Might of got too hard/brittle and snapped. Glad you got it figured out!
