Seems to be the majority of people. Blind devotion and emotional attachment to one political party or another.

I can't help but wonder how New York's politicians would respond with the shoe on the other foot. If the Rep. party had control and flagrantly passed a law that flew in the face of a supreme court decision?

I've dealt with criminals for 32+ years as a career. These laws do not and will not stop them. It's sad that our comunities have to be endangered by virtue signaling politicians with no real knowledge of the subject at hand, just a desire to impose their misguided beliefs on someone.

But, as voters, we never learn, and keep sending the same people back to office. Wonder why?

You know that broad brush statements are not accurate and do not help. You also know that there are a lot of "closed" mined individuals that live in fear of someone having a different opinion or perspective then they do. The postings show it clearly. This country is based on freedom of expression, different points of view and people being able to voice both of them with out fear of being denigrated, verbally abuse and otherwise attacked.

Well snake, I don't care what you do, as long as you aren't trying to take my rights away, hurt animals or children. Really. But, leftists want to take away my guns and have us live in communal housing. Yes, I've had them tell me.

For years, the Republicans played nicely and let the democrats act like spastic children. Now, they do the same things and lo, suddenly, they're bad. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. If you cannot see just how badly our government has become -- how corrupt, something is wrong. They talk freedom -- as long as it's what they want. Otherwise, they act up and get violent. Conservatives don't get a seat at the table. I think you have your head in the sand.

Thankfully, I will probably be dead when the leftists and neo-bolsheviks really destroy this country. You certainly won't have firearms and your own car and such things. Obesity will be gone, as there won't be enough food, so there is that future for your worker's utopia -- except leftists don't work -- they live in moms basement.

Reality is not always nice. You might want to think about that. It is not about "Right n Wrong", because your politicians care only about votes, period. If you can't recognize the change in public opinion the last 10 yrs, and the subtle changes in demographics, and lack of support for "shooting" sports in many arears, then you are not really looking. IMHO

post #170, many on the right refuse to see what is happening around them. I have watched the changes for decades and they are subtle but true. Do you actually think even if Conservatives win in 2024, that the Left will stop the attacks on 2ndAmend rights? I don't.

The change in public opinion and society will make the difference. NO Conservative will win easily, in any election, IMHO.

I’ve always had mine in a large pvc pipe on the way to reenactments I think most police communities have said they will not enforce this in most of the state especially at reinactments

So it sounds like we all need to become reenactors in NY if we own muskets

Respect your opinion. However, I vote for those whom historically do less damage to my wallet. Hint:it,s never been Dems. The platform of continually creating programs which we have no choice in paying for I.E. Illegals. Sanctuary Cities . Hand outs for Generations of the Terminal lazy,s, and the list goes on. Government from cradle to Grave is not the answer. But i guess if they enhance their voter base through these things..all is fair. Each and every time a Law that is enacted that restricts my right,s although I have followed the Law and takes away our rights and restricts me further has ALWAYS been bourne by a Democrat. If you are a Firearms owner then you have a slight disconnect with reality. My next question would be why are you here on this forum? To Churn?
