Thanks Y'all
The bag is 8" W, X71/2" H, X 1" T and the knife is 61/2" less the tang. Of interest, the grip on the knife is of maple from the Alps which has dark spots in the grain rather than a curl. I have made duck calls from it and they look pretty kooool.
The Elk is about 1/8th to 3/16ths thick and where the fringe is there are 3 layers. I had to use an awl and pull each stitch with pliers. I used rubber cement to hold the seams while stitching (fake sinew).

The medical supply houses sell a needle puller that surgeons use on us. Human skin is very tough to sew, carry one in my plunder to repair pants and people. bob
