Richard Smith barrels

I just picked up these 2 Richard Smith barrels this weekend and would like any info y’all know about them. Both are tapered 36” and about 1 in 68” twist rate. One of them is for a full stock Leman project and I’ll have to come up with what to do with the other one.

Longhammock barrels. Used to be H&H. Google is your friend.

I did google it, not a lot out there as to reviews on the quality of his barrels. I did see where he acquired the tooling from H and H, changed its name then his son took it over and called the company Long Hammock. Curious as to anyone’s experience building with them. I do know TVM used them for a while.

Ok, only a 20 gauge smoothbore Long Hammock barrel. Customer loves it.

Ordered a bunch of Long Hammock barrels , used a few on long rifles with no problem.......

What caliber is that top barrel?

Both are 54 caliber

As long as the rifling is smooth, and the twist is in the neighborhood, I don't worry about the brand. I have yet to find a barrel that I can outshoot. If you got them cheap enough, I would send one to Hoyt and have it cut to a .58.
