Sad day, in my opinion, for our forum

Spence left and it seems only Skychief knows why. All the rest is projecting and or conjecture, which is mostly projecting with better grammar.
I do remember one thread recently where someone lit into Spence but good. I don't remember who, the subject or content, just that I was shocked that anyone would do that, as I have never read anything from that man that would elicit such bile.
Again, If you're of a mind to read this Spence, all the best to you.

Just hope your reply is not revering to me it is something that should not happen but I will not stand by and let someone attack my every response to a question

I am not referring to anyone in particular. However, I have seen it repeatedly here. Guys carry a grudge or won't let a past argument go. Grumpy old men.

This board is not unique in this regard.

Thank you not referring to me well maybe a grumpy old man at 84 years old , but I have forgotten more than some will ever know

Could good come from the arguments, debates, confrontations, and conflicts in a thread such as this? Yes? It stimulated me to come up with a business venture that may suit many of us - yes, I am included. Here is a t-shirt that I designed from self-knowledge. If anyone wants to use it and start an international business making and selling the t-shirt, there are probably 100s of million who should buy and wear it.😁

If I may...
I took a very long hiatus from this very forum for exactly what this thread has devolved into. There is no place for it in the muzzleloading community. While I don't know Spence and have read very few of his posts upon my return, I don't need any of that information to know exactly why he left. The answer is right in front of us, gentlemen.
As the saying goes..."IBTL" (in before the lock)

I think the main reason is that people that write on the history of the gun because they think that this is infringing on the only gun that matters the Flintlock Rifle. Has I have said we are not appreciated by most especially if we come from the UK or other countries with a gun history which makes i it is it worth while and walk away .

A: maybe the problem isn't what you are writing about,,,, it is where and when,,, and more so,,,, how you come across when you do so.
B: this topic probably is a good example of the where and when problem,,,, it isn't all about you.

Like so many here that dealt with Spence, I never questioned his knowledge or experience.
Well seasoned he is, no debate there.
Personality wise - (see T shirt above).
I put him in my lead box a long time ago. - Not for what he said, but how he treated others.
His personality did not allow him to play nice with ANYONE that might have had a different experience or opinion that conflicted with his opinion of what makes the world turn.
