I received this fraudulant offer from someone claiming to be solidleadSlug on this forum. The offeror used photos from a Guns International post. BEWARE. (Ph number is "seller's")

Here is the link to the real seller's ad: REAL Pitcairn sale ad (Closed)

Yep, the scum bags patrol this forum for sure. It happened to me when I was looking for a Traditions Tennessee Rifle. All it took was for me to do a quick google search on the rifle and the same thing I was offered on here popped up on an old gun broker ad.
Thanks for posting, good catch and lets stay vigilant.

Always ask for an additional picture of the item including something like a dime, car key, butter knife, spoon, etc. If they're honest they'll chuckle and take the picture, if no response it tells you it's a scam. The dime trick saved me $$$$ on a P-H Whitworth scam. YMMV

I usually do the verification pics but I recognized this immediately. I know just about every valid ad for the guns I'm looking for. Saw this coming a mile away. I did find his profile here but in case he stole that too, I did not want to jump to a conclusion. That said, approach with caution.

I have had very good dealings on this forum. The few people I have dealt with were straight up and honest. I am also a sucker when it come to buying on line. I wasn't exposed to a lot of tricks coming up and it is hard for me to think someone would do something like this? I do appreciate you for exposing this scam,

Is it possible that the seller posts on several sites? Many do, including me. Always ask for a custom verification photo of gun.
Good Point, in my case I asked the seller to give me the forum standard here. A pic with a note including his user name and date with he rifle. I got crickets. This is still the best place on the net to buy em though. I would just hate for a member here to be taken by one of these wastes of skin.
