Scottish pistol build

In between other things I've been working on a 1580s-1600s Scottish pistol. I'm making this for myself. I started in mid January of this year. So far I've completed the lock, except for the art work and the barrel. I still need screws, rammer, trigger and a stock. If the exotic wood store up the street is right, they might be able to get me a piece of Brazil wood which is what these early Scottish guns were stocked in. Anyway, here's some images of my progess. The lock uses L&R internals which makes it very fast to give fire. Also, note the use of a threaded post and nut to tighten the jaws. The Scotts used this archaic method up to the mid 17th century. The barrel is made of the ever controversial DOM tube. It's 11-1/2" long and the bore mics at .485. It's a fun build. Hope to have it out and shooting by April. Very interesting project.
What style is the lock called? I think I know but don't want to guess and prove I don't. :shocked2: :redface:
Some of the tools you are using look almost as old as the original pistol style. :wink:
