I think this one may be a keeper. Bobby builds a good shooting gun. And as light as it is even with the heavier shot loads it fits me so well that i din't even notice the recoil, and i was shooting it off sandbags. The picture below shows the first 6 shots fired out of the gun since i got it. They are with the same load of 80 gr Goex 2f, 2 thin overshot cards, and half a lubed fiber cushion wad. The first 3 shots i used a .575 rd ball that i cast in a Lee mould, and spit lubed denim patch. The next 3 shots in the same group are using a larger .595 rd ball and ticking lubed with bear grease and bees wax. I think that is pretty good for the first shots out of a New gun with no real load developmnt. Should be able to improve it with some experimenting.
The other target is a shot load. Not sure if yu can see the holes, but there are 18 $5 shot in the kill zone. I used 70 gr of Goex 2f, 4 thin overshot cards, an index card paper shot cup,
1 1/2 oz of #5 lead shot, and an overshot card. I tried a few shots with that load and all of them put 12-18 pellets in the kill zone. I think i have a turkey load for the spring season already. Here is the pic of the targets.

Thank ya kindly but T'weren't me, it were the gun. Boy, it does shoot nice and fits SO well. Anybody wanting a well made gun at a very reasonable price should check Bobby out. He don't build guns as fancy as the ones by Roy, Mike Brooks, Birddog6, and some others here, but he does build a very nice gun for the money. And fast too.

Thats all that matters... sometimes  :v now get out there and shoot it some more. :haha:

IT would seem based on a visual ...AFFLACK has succumbed to birdshot! glad ya got out an shooted it rebel! and real glad ya like it! now bear down!..or turkey down..whatever SHOOT! RC

Yea, don't ya just love that hand drawn turkey target? :rotf: I never professed to be an artist. But thy give me an idea as to loads.

Ya could've atleast drew a blindfold on it and gave it a cigarette.Ya know, any last requests? :haha:

Wow Rod!! That gun can shoot!! It just can't get any better than getting a great group out of a brand new gun!

Rebel: Can you detail how you used the index card material to make your shotcup? how many layers or wraps around did you use? How long? Did you just fold over the top, or did you trim the cup to the length of the shot charge? How did you seal the bottom of the cup? etc.

I use one wrap around a dowel of the size i need with about an 1/8 inch overlap., then glue the edges with a glue stick. Then fold the bottom over and glue it. I cut them to the length i need for the shot charge i am using. I make two splits in the sides that go about 3/4 of the length. I put in the powder, 4 thin overshot cards leaving the last one about 1" below the muzzle. Start the shotcup down on top of that card and ad shot. Then an overshot card on top and ram it all down. They seem to help a little. I tried it without the cup and just the 4 overshot cards. I still got 8-10 shot in the head neck area, but got a few more with the cups, so i think i will use them for turkey hunting.

Great info Reb.You can be sure Im savin all this for when I get started. Thanks

Rebel,

Nice fowler. Would appreciate it if you can email me. I would like to ask you some questions regarding it in private, since I will be in the market for one later this year.
