Thats nice. With a stock like that, it should be a great little carbine. I am a poor pistolshooter.I use to shoot from a rest. The Trapper is a great pistol.

I modified a stock to a flintlock kentucky pistol years ago, at which point I could then hit what I aimed at. I had a broken wooden rifle stock from an old .22. Sawed it off at the wrist and contoured it to fit the grip of the kentucky. I then drilled two pilot holes in the outside curve of the grip and used a dowling pin to mark the holes to dril in the stock. Doweled, glued and clamped, refinished the stock and presto! Wish I still had it but sold it for grocery money in desperate times. You mught contact one of the stock makers and see if they have a factory reject where the buttstock is in good shape.

Not a bad idea. Maybe copy a winchester stock, and rebuld it to fit the back of the Trapper grip.
