I recently purchased a tool pouch made by cutfingers and listed in the classifieds. I got it today and to say I was impressed is an understaement. His design is somewhat unique and the quality of work very high!

Good job cutfingers!

I've bought a coupla things from him and appreciate them. I have complimented him on the portmanteus he has offered here as well -- really beautiful items.

I don't think he personally makes every item he lists.
I think he might have a couple friends that do work also. Nuthin wrong with that.
Unless someone is trying to make a copy of an original item, an individual craftsmen develops a style or technique that can be seen.
With all the stuff he lists, there seems to be a couple different techniques.

I have a few items to. I especially like my turtle-shaped shot "bag."

I did think that the width of the flint pockets in the flint wallet I bought were designed too small. I mostly shoot 3/4" and 7/8" flints and neither fit into the little pockets. Would have been better to have three pockets a little bigger instead of trying to jam four in that are too small for what I think is a common width flint. But, I just cut the threads on them to make one large pocket and it works just as well. Other than that, the flint wallet was well-made.

Spike,I bought a .62 Weeping Heart ball bag (presume it is cuir bouilli and should probably be with McRob's guns) as well as a flint-and-tools wallet from him.

He ensured I was satisfied with the size of the flint pockets as he makes, and had, another larger size I could have upgraded to instead had need been.

Buy a couple -- how few here really have generally large OR small flintlocks only!? LOL

For the first time I was perusing the Craftsman's forum and saw your post saying I do not make everything I sell: Wrong! I'm retired and have lots of free time to be creative.

Happy customer a few times over right here. All of them still holding up strong.
