Show me your double Possibles Bags

I am about to make my first attempt on making a double possibles bag...
But I would like to see some historically accurate specimens to get my brain juices flowing!
I need to see photos from different angles to se WHAT is going on, to better devise a plan of attack!

and I figure you guys are owners of said bags, super educated in such things, and the ones to ask.

So, please Show me your double Possibles Bags... Thanks!

To some people it is just semantics, but, language matters.
As near as can be found, there is no reference to the term "possibles bag," as a pouch for carrying the supplies to shoot one's gun. This would be a shot pouch, maybe some other terms.
Debatable use of the term for a bag to carry other things one might, possibly, need.
As always, time period can make a difference. Judging from your avatar I'm assuming you are looking for mid to late 18th century.

I'll start with a period painting. A few of us have had some debate on a few things about this picture. But, one thing we agree on, is that if one follows the lines of the reddish colored trim,,, this would appear to be an 18th century example of a double pouch.

The following photos were also taken from previous discussions. There is much debate about the provenance and actual dates of this bag's make and use, but, clearly it is originally from at least within the period of our forum.

Not sure I want to know about the leather bird mask,,,,, lol.

I think those are the only images I have of double bags attributed to a time before 1800. At least of shoulder slung bags. And, as to an earlier debate elsewhere, I'm not convinced the bag in that painting wasn't originally a belt worn bag.

Dang it, Jerry, now I'm going to have to make a medieval doctor's 'bird' mask! You do great leatherwork BTW, love the American Eagle on your bag flap! Broke, the docs used to fill the 'beak' with aromatic herbs and stuff to make a kind of 'gas mask'.

The plague mask was made as a smart-aleck response to the SCAM-Demic...
I enjoy wearing it at Walmart now and then just to watch reactions!
