This is a piece that I found in a garage sale a little over 50 years ago.The back story about two of them being found on the site of a military compound in the deep South. It's a 50 cal. The whole piece was turned from stock as big as the pivot points. There is a curious texture to the barrel above the pivots to the breech.I fire it off every court and New Years. Big boom.
Does anyone have an idea what it is?

Well. Here they are. L to R, a .50 Traditions Trapper pistol, T/C White Mountain Carbine in .50, T/C Hawken in .45, Traditions Crockett in .32, a .50 Lyman GPR, and my new Kibler Colonial in .54.

No revolvers or muskets yet and just the one flintlock, but theres still time.

Well it is a swivel gun or wall gun for sure, but I have not come across one with such a small caliber before.

My best guess us it's a bomb in waiting. No idea what kind of cast iron or steel it is made of!

Bought this from a man in my Delaware home town maybe 1960ish. I imagine the small game I got with this 12 ga. would have run/flown away had they only known it was just an old muzzle loader.
