You have probably already done this, but make sure you seal the barrel channel so moisture can not get back in - two/three coats Tru-oil???

You got alot of good advice here, and I am glad that you found you answer. Now, how do you keep it from happening ever again?

You might want to look at changing the stock wedges into captured keys. That way, they stay in the same slot! :)
