I have to increase the overall height of my trigger bar on my simple trigger by about 3/8" I have a MIG welder but have very little experience with it, I live in a 2nd. floor garden apt. the smoke alarm goes nuts and the sparks are very dangerous, it really scares me that I'll start a fire so I don't use it.I don't even know why I bought it. Any way that's the reason I silver solder, no sparks. I have a acetylene "B" tank which works so long as the parts aren't too thick. I don't know what I should use to silver braze steel. I tried using a nickle rod with the blue flux coating on it, but that is at the limits of my equipment with a full tank(which is rare). I do have some flat solder sicks used on A/C lines. I mostly use them. I also have a tin of brazing flux. Any pointers... Geo.
