There are commercial ones available. Use the search function on various websites that sell things for our endeavors, Track Of The Wolf and others..
Hobby Lobby and other similar stores sell wide jute webbing used for lawn chairs, a few people here have used it for bag straps and sashes, it would probably work for your purposes too.

I had an old luggage shoulder strap I used. It was a nice olive/brown color and cotton, I believe. Looks nice and works great. I made my attachments out of 9-10 oz leather. The top slides up and down the barrel/ram rod on a loop. The bottom portion is stitched into a typical cheek pad style wrap.

Nothing fancy at all. I’m a utilitarian. The strap around the barrel is stitched together with 75# artificial sinew. I had the cheek pad stitched on with leather strips I cut. They were a tad too stretchy. Boot lace worked better. I hunted a few times with it and it carried nice.

Not a SMR, but attachments about how I'd envisioned them to work. Nice job!! :thumb:

thanks guys. when i get to hobby lobby ill get some strapping.i want to make it where its easy on easy off that way when i have something to drag i can attach the sling and carry the rifle on my shoulder. i will post a pic when i make it.

Get some long enough thin leather strips and make a very long and big solomon bar knot or similar. Look at "Tying it all together" on youtube for what they do with paracord, all of it can be done with leather strips
