I had a fella that does leather work make me a copy of the TC style. He made some improvements over the older TC slings. They stitch around the buttstock, then loop around the forearm. Pretty neat, I do not like studs in stocks.
 
Single point via a single piece of rope of right length with ends tied together, looped around wrist area of stock.

Do similar about where fore end ends for a 2 point sling. Won't be very good for sling supported shooting, but to tote it while hands are full it they will work.

Single point is better for keeping the rifle almost ready to use.
