Capplugs or screw thread protectors work well if you can find the right size. I used them when I used to Skirmish.
And steel ones were used for both powder and shot in the day, first saw them cased with a fine English double made by Pape.Try to get the flip top plastic bottles that the diabetic test strips come in. You can open them with one hand and you won’t lose the lid!. Excellent for powder and shot!
RCL Series Caplugs or the vinyl Caplugs. MSC is one source.Capplugs or screw thread protectors work well if you can find the right size. I used them when I used to Skirmish.
Great idea!View attachment 323948View attachment 323949View attachment 323950I use 30.06 and .45 Colt cases which slide together perfectly to use as premeasured powder charges when I go to the range for matches. The case holds about 65 grains of 2f. Other cases may hold more or less. I have them in a wooden box my brother made for me with his laser cutter. I soldered the primer ends just so there is no mistake what they are used for. Totally optional. They can fit in one of those plastic cartridge cases as well. It works for me. The bottle neck cartridge also acts as a nice funnel.
They did, glass phials as being sought by the OP.If only they had come up with a way to hold premeasured powder charges back in the day!
