Hello, Got a new stainless 45 LRH barrel from Green Mountain last fall and finally got around to shooting it. I am new to 45s, and have shot a few 50s and 54s over the years. Anyways, went back to shooting ffg blackpowder and figured I would swab the bore after first two shots. Those 2 by the way were quite close and not far off zero at 50 yards so kind of happy at first
So long story short there is now a jag with mess up threads lodged in breech.....I have since tried to shoot it out with a few grains of powder under nipple to no avail. I need to box it up and get it shipped to a reputable smith who can pull the breech plug and remove it. Then I need to get a better fitting jag and patch to avoid this happening again.
So, any advice on a good smith who can pull that plug? Thank you
