Didn't Dan'l use a long barreled smooth bore at the battle of blue licks or some such fight?

You are spot on ! I was just going yo say that .At the battle of blue licks Daniel was indeed carrying a smoothbore ... They went back over the battle field later , next day I think , and he was showing folks where he was by the impressions in the ground where he thumped his buttplate into the ground ...loading fast

Years ago there was a gun store in < I think Anaheim Ca. They had a Drilling and said it was the rifle the Indian had in Jerimiah Johnson I didn't have the money then, still don't

Drilling has three barrel. A Zwilling has 2. Its a German thing...just an FYI.
